Introduced earlier this year, Rolling Grants allow ECF to make investments in projects and organizations throughout the year that are poised to make a difference in the community.
Rolling grants are awarded for up to $5000.

The Evanston Community Foundation (ECF) awarded grants for the fall quarter of its new Rolling Grants program to Art Encounter, Evanston In-School Music Association (EISMA), Meals at Home, Mitchell Museum of the American Indian, and Northlight Theater /Family Focus.
“In this second group of grantees, we see groups addressing all of the issues that ECF hoped to target with Rolling Grants,” said Rebecca Cacayuran, Program Officer. “These organizations are piloting new programs, collaborating with other groups, building their own capacity, and addressing time-sensitive issues.”
The focus of the fall quarter Rolling Grants includes:
Art Encounter: piloting an art and writing residency at Washington School
EISMA: launching free public concerts for the community
Meals at Home: evaluating developing its own production kitchen to increase capacity
Mitchell Museum of the American Indian: upgrading technology
Northlight Theater and Family Focus: offering theater training for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group and Family Focus staff
rolling grants application process
Rolling Grant applications are accepted all throughout the year, and the grants committee reviews applications on a quarterly basis for these one-year grants. The next deadline for review is December 1, 2017. Applicants must either be 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, government entities, or community groups with a fiscal sponsor that qualifies as a tax-exempt organization. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate inclusive practices that support the diversity of their boards, staff, and constituents.
