Led by ECF staff, the Snapshot Evanston day begins at One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., at 8:30am. The program cost is $75 per person or $125 for two, and includes light breakfast and lunch. Register online.

Snapshot Evanston is a once-a-year opportunity to give local residents and Evanston-based employees an in-depth orientation to the community. This dynamic program gives participants the opportunity to meet with local leaders, delve into current issues, and tour the entire city. By the end of the day, participants have a better picture of how Evanston works and its strengths and challenges as it moves into the future.

The day begins with a look back at Evanston’s history with a bus tour of the city’s neighborhoods, highlighting major trends of yesterday and today. After the tour, panels of distinguished community leaders share their expertise and knowledge about Evanston. Presenters include city government officials, school district representatives and economic development experts.

“Past Snapshot Evanston participants often leave feeling inspired and committed to making Evanston a better place,” said Leadership Evanston Director Jennifer Moran. “Whether you are new to the community or a long-term resident interested in learning more about our history, challenges and strengths, Snapshot Evanston is a wonderful orientation to Evanston.”On a previous tour, this team won the Evanston "jeopardy" game, the day's wrap-up activity.

A 2016 Snapshot participant observed that Snapshot Evanston was “a thorough update on what's going on in Evanston. It gives you the opportunity meet so many great people! I highly recommend Snapshot Evanston to anyone interested in learning more about the Evanston Community.
