responsive grants
For 2018/2019, ECF announced $337,500 in responsive grants to 26 organizations, determined by a committee of community members. Each of these grants further the Foundation’s strategic goals of an inclusive and equitable Evanston, an empowered and engaged community that collaborates, and a thriving nonprofit sector.
We’ve come a long way since 1987 when we awarded $30,000 to 15 organizations. This growth is due to the increase in ECF's endowment and to the generosity of our grantmaking partners, especially Northwestern University Dance Marathon (NUDM).
